My Diary

Welcome To My Bedroom…

Dear diary:

So the other day my husband and I did something in the bedroom….

Something crazy…

Something we have never done before!

We switched bed sides.

Sorry to disappoint you!! 😝😝 So anyway, I had been doing some changes in the bedroom and needed to move things around. The bed especially. Due to this change, we both ended up sleeping on opposite sides of the bed we are used to. I would normally take the right side of the bed (assuming you were facing the bed) and he would take the left. Now we were on each other’s side. Worst night ever. Hatukulala poa. He still demands we change back… I might cave.

I got curious as to which side of the bed says what about you and thought I should share:

Research carried out by the Premier Inn (among other sources) suggest that your mood, attitude to work and even income is said to be affected by which side of the bed you choose to sleep on. If you sleep on the left, then you are said to be more cheerful than their right side counterparts. To add on to that, those who sleep on the left are apparently calmer than their partner in a crisis and are more confident in general – this has a direct correlation with their ability to sustain permanent employment better than their right side counterparts. It is reported that left side sleepers are believed to have a greater level of job satisfaction than right siders. It’s not all doom and gloom for us who sleep on the right side of the bed; it’s cited that most people who sleep on the right generally earn more money. LOL. So we have money just a hell lot moody and less confident and we can’t really keep a job. Who did this research again?

I don’t know about you but I just worry about my back and side when it comes to which side of the bed I sleep. Oh, and access to the mirror as well as the door.

Tell me about your side as you answer these:

  • Do you believe there is more to tell about which side of the bed you love to sleep?
  • Must you sleep next to the wall for example because you fear falling/failure?
  • Do you think I should maintain the sides hubby and I used to sleep on or embrace the change?

Lol. As always, I can’t wait to hear from you! Comment below.
